So ready...bring on FALL!!

Yep, you read that correctly...me and the girls are MORE than ready for FALL!!

You see, we live in a small home, with currently only one window air conditioner to cool it.  Needless to say, the last couple of months have been a balancing act...get the air conditioner to cool as well as using three box fans.  We are sweltering by the time the late afternoon comes.  The only comfortable part of the day is the cool, fall-like mornings we have had the last week or so.

I am hoping that W-mart puts their air conditioners on markdown, so that I can buy one and have it for next year.  At least, maybe then we can get the temperature more comfortable.

But, enough of that!!

FALLLLLLL!!!

I absolutely adore, love, breath for FALL.  I was born a FALL baby, so I am just so much more in my element...with the cool crisp mornings, the changing of the leaves, the awesome way mother nature prepares everything for its long winters nap.  No other season is better than FALL.

And FALL is one of my most favorite times to be creative *right up there with anything Patriotic and Christmas*.  I can get the cob webs cleared, not worry about outside work needing done, and just sit down, and let the projects flow.  At least MOST of the time.

Sometimes the items I am working on are a little stubborn about *telling* me what they want to end up looking like or being.  It is times like that I dread, but they are not very often.  Usually more so in the spring and summer months.

So, in preparation of the quickly approaching FALL and Winter seasons, I am moving my studio to a new room my landlord recently decided to build onto the little house I am living in.  I didn't really need it, and other than my washer and dryer, wasn't sure what I was going to use it for.  After a lot of pondering, I decided to make it my studio.

It has two wonderful windows, and is really well lit during the day.  One window looks down the holler to the house my mother was both born and raised in, now owned by my mothers sister Monica.

The other window looks out onto the little hill where my mommy and daddy are buried, along with my precious Uncle Keni *mom's youngest brother*.  I get a little sense of peace being able to look up there when times get rough :)

Since I am going to have such a nice, big, well lit space for my studio, I am going to take the plunge and work towards it being a major source of income.  With the holiday season coming, I figured it would be the best time to start working towards that end.

Prayers would be greatly appreciated :)

I am going to still be offering items in my shop at Hatties Attic on etsy, but I am also going to offer items on my facebook page as well Hatties Attic on Facebook.  There are a couple of other ideas swimming around in my head, and I will let you all in on that when the time is closer.

I will also begin to offer wholesale on some of the items I make, to qualified shops.  If interested in receiving more information on this, when it becomes available, just email me,

Well, I think I have rambled enough for this post.  Sorry there are no pics, but the studio move is a horrendous mess right now.  When I get it all lined out, I will post pics.

Until then.....

  1. How exciting....and YES you can do it, you will do it, and you will be successful. Maybe that new studio is just what you needed, not so much the space but what you see with your eyes and your heart out those windows. And yes, I am praying for you and I am putting you on our Church prayer list on Sunday......so be prepared - great things are coming to Tracy and the Girls.

    Hugs
